39 Blue-and-Red Shifting Gem : Mysterious Mention 21

Blue-and-Red Shifting Gem : MM21

            You pressed the correct button.

A circle is a shape that has no vertices in geometry.
However, from the perspective of limits, as the number of vertices of a polygon increases, it becomes more and more similar to a circle.
An octagon resembles a circle more than a pentagon, and a dodecagon resembles a circle more than an octagon.
Therefore, from the perspective of limits, one may consider that a polygon with an infinite number of vertices—an infinite-gon—would resemble a circle.

Soon, part of the wall beneath the buttons opens, and a gem treasure that shifts between red and blue is revealed.
You take the treasure from the small space inside the opened section of the wall and keep it.
After obtaining the treasure, you leave the area.
You have successfully secured the treasure.
            Congratulations!

You decide to take out the Shifting Blue-and-Red Gem you secured at your hideout.
In front of you, there is a single table.
You place the Red Gem Book and the Red Gem Key you previously obtained on the table.
Then, you place the Shifting Blue-and-Red Gem you secured onto the table as well.

Soon, light begins to emanate from the Shifting Blue-and-Red Gem, and it slowly starts to shift into a blue color.
The Red Gem Book, the Red Gem Key, and the Shifting Gem on the table begin to vibrate on their own, each emitting a faint glow.
Moments later, the three artifacts rise into the air, glowing softly.

Light pours out from the Shifting Gem at the center and extends toward the Red Gem Book on one side and the Red Gem Key on the other.
The beams of light connect to each artifact.

The gem, which was red when you first obtained it, has now shifted and begins to glow with a blue light.
The connected beams gradually change into a blue glow as well.
As the blue light reaches each artifact, both treasures begin to shine blue, and the two move toward each other in midair and make contact.

After the two artifacts interact, the Shifting Gem, the Red Gem Book, and the Red Gem Key draw closer together.
A bright flash of light bursts once, and then only a single Shifting Gem drops back onto the table with a soft thud.

The Shifting Gem is, in fact, a hidden sealing gem.
You successfully complete the mission by locking the Red Gem Book with the Red Gem Key and sealing them both using the Shifting Gem.
The moment when the two artifacts touched in midair was the key’s magic sealing the book.
You did not cast the magic yourself.
As long as the three artifacts are prepared, the Shifting Gem safely seals the two treasures on its own.

Now, all you see on the table is the Shifting Gem, which has safely sealed the two Red Gem treasures.
The Shifting Gem is stable.
It is safe to touch.
You place the now-blue Shifting Gem back into your bag.

You have successfully completed the mission to seal the Red Gem Book and the Red Gem Key.

Mission Complete! Congratulations!
